Watercolor Art Society-Houston holds exhibition, sale of paintings by local artists
The Watercolor Art Society-Houston will hold a Christmas art exhibition and sale of creations by local artists from now until Friday, Jan. 4.
Small paintings by local artists will be on display and for sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at the WAS Houston building, 1601 W. Alabama St., Houston.
The juror for the exhibition is Polly Hammett, a member of the American and National Watercolor Societies and a member of the American Art Therapy Association, according to a society press release.
Hammett has received more than 100 awards in exhibitions, including the Albuquerque Art Museum and the Oklahoma Museum of Art. Her work is on permanent display at these institutions.
A reception for the showing will run from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at the WAS. Admission is free.
