SEARCH Homeless Services' Picnic in the Park raises over $430K
SEARCH Homeless Services reports that it raised more than $435,000 at its fourth annual Picnic In The Park on Friday, Nov. 2 at Discovery Green in Houston.
The non-profit agency will use the proceeds from the event to provide services, jobs and affordable housing to those experiencing homelessness, according to a press release.
The park event featured food, entertainment and dancing under the stars. Robin Klaes was chairman of the fundraiser, and her father, Charlie Thomas, was one of the picnic honorees.
