Buffalo Bayou Partnership holds annual gala

Buffalo Bayou Partnership recently held its annual ball Thursday, Nov. 1 at Sabine Promenade.

Buffalo Bayou Partnership held its annual ball Thursday, Nov. 1 at Sabine Promenade.

This year's gala theme was SENSE-Sational, a tribute to the sights and sounds of the Buffalo Bayou waterway, and Mark Cover, Hines Southwest Division and former BBP board member, was recognized for his contributions.

The gala also featured a dinner on the Sabine Street Bridge followed by a silent auction, for which Houston artist Barbara Hines created a painting titled "Springtime."

Six hundred fifty guests attended the event, including Houston Mayor Annise Parker, and $500,000 was raised for the Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
