Contemporary Arts Museum seeks submissions from teen artists
The Contemporary Arts Museum invites teens age 13-19 to submit original works for an upcoming show, "Perspective 181: Human Nature."
Organized by the CAMH's Teen Council, the show, according to a press release, will attempt to tackle the following questions: Is there a universal human experience? Do we examine our base animal instincts to explore human nature? Or is what makes us human of a higher order?
Paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, videos, sound and installations are all acceptable for this exhibit. Rachel Cook, assistant curator at DiverseWorks, will judge submissions.
The deadline to enter is Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, and the show will run Friday March 1, 2013 through Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, 5216 Montrose Blvd.
