HYPE, United Way to host panel discussion on board service, volunteerism

The United Way of Greater Houston and the Houston Young Professionals Endeavor will host a panel discussion on community board service and volunteerism from 7:30-9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the benefits of volunteer service, as well as how to join a community board. Panelists for the discussion include United Way of Greater Houston's manager of leadership development, Karen White; Volunteer Houston's office manager/development director, Mabel Menefee; and the City of Houston Mayor's office director of board and commissions, Jenn Char.

The event will include a light breakfast. Admission is $10 per person.

The event will take place at the United Way of Greater Houston, 50 Waugh Drive, Houston.
