Children's books author leaves Avon Place 2BD

Vuthy Kuon sold a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 714 Peden St. in Neartown/Montrose to Wayne Bruce.

Kuon acquired the 1,370-square-foot house from Bacchus Enterprises LLC in Feb. 2007. It was built in 1924 in Avon Place subdivision. It is valued at $247,604.

Kuon is an author, illustrator, and public speaker. He's been recognized for his arts and writing for children's books. Among the books he authored are Humpty Dumpty After the Fall, Mikey and the Monster Vacuum, Benny Bunny & the Carrot Famine, A Trip to the Zoo and My Annoying Little Brother.

He attended Rhode Island School of Design.
