Murder charges pending in fatal stabbing
Murder charges are pending against a 40-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing a man in the 15300 block of North Brentwood early Wednesday, April 4.
Harris County detectives identified the man as Jack Lillard, who died of an apparent stab wound to the neck.
According details released by the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a pickup truck pulled into a parking lot at Woodforest Boulevard and E. Sam Houston Parkway at about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, and the driver asked a wrecker driver to call an ambulance for a his passenger, who had been stabbed. Deputies and North Channel EMS responded, and Lillard was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck told deputies Lillard was stabbed at his residence on North Brentwood, and he was driving Lillard to the hospital when he noticed the wrecker driver and asked him to call an ambulance.
At the scene on North Brentwood, deputies encountered a second witness who identified the assailant as a woman known by the nickname "Trouble." Deputies found the woman a few blocks from Lillard's residence and transported her to the Homicide Unit, where she allegedly admitted stabbing Lillard, according to the news release.
Detectives are trying to locate other possible witnesses and urge anyone with information about the case to call the Homicide Unit at 713-967-5818.
