River Oaks landlord accused of trashing apartment
A landlord from River Oaks is being sued over claims he unlawfully entered an apartment and destroyed a tenant's personal items.
Deanna Donaldson filed a lawsuit on March 28 in Harris County District Court against Kim Alan Townsend, of River Oaks, citing negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and breach of contract.
Donaldson says on Sept. 21, 2010, her landlord, Townsend, unlawfully entered her apartment, damaged her property, and then threw her personal items down one flight of stairs. According to the brief, Townsend pled guilty to criminal charges after the incident.
Donaldson is seeking attorney's fees, court costs and damages. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Darrell Steidley.
