Paving completion at Buffalo Speedway draws near
Roadway lanes at Buffalo Speedway could be restored to their pre-construction capacity next week barring weather delays, according to information from the project contractor.
Last week, crews successfully completed pouring the Bissonnet intersection and expect to complete brick work on the crosswalks. Other work expected to be done includes paving two driveways on the west side of the roadway and left-turn bays down the center of the median.
If all goes as planned, two lanes in either direction and center turn bays could be opened to motorists Wednesday or Thursday, according to a release.
Crews are expected to continue installing pedestrian lighting, landscaping and sidewalks behind the curb on into April, with the roadway opening with the completion of the streetscape.
