Houston students invited to participate in poster contest
The Texas Council on Economic Education is inviting local students in grades K-12 to participate in the Houston Money Week Poster Contest this March.
Participants will create a poster with the contest’s "Managing Your Money" theme for a chance to win savings bonds.
The contest is a partnership between the Texas Council on Economic Education and the University of Houston Bauer College, and is designed to teach young people about financial planning.
Contest winners will be invited to the Financial Symposium opening program to receive their prize on April 14 at the University of Houston’s Melcher Hall.
The first-place prize is $75, second place is $50 and third place is $25. Winners will also have their posters featured in the 2012 Financial Symposium calendar.
Posters can be submitted to the contest at participating Houston libraries until March 26.

The University of Houston is located at 4800 Calhoun Road in Houston.
