Aurora Picture Show film festival accepting entries
The Aurora Picture Show is now accepting entries for the Extremely Shorts Film Festival.
The 15th annual festival will take place June 29 and June 30 in Houston.
The juried competition will involve films three minutes or shorter in length. Twenty to 25 entries are selected for first-, second- and third-place prizes. Genres include narrative, art, experimental, documentary and animation.
This year's juror is Andy Smith, executive director of the Nickelodeon Theatre, a nonprofit arthouse cinema in Columbia, S.C. He is also the founder and executive director of the Indie Grits Festival.
Deadlines for for submission are April 16 (early) and May 1 (late). Entry fees are based on category and entry date.
