Houston Girl Scouts on cover of Girl Scout cookie box
The new Girl Scout shortbread cookie box features scouts from the Houston area to commemorate the organization's 100th anniversary.
ABC Bakers, one of two Girl Scout cookie bakers, has changed the box on the shortbread cookies in honor of the landmark year for the organization. All the girls on the box are members of the San Jacinto Council.
The photo on the box was taken eight years ago when a group of scouts was as Camp Agnes Arnold. Alexis Pucci, the girl at the front of the group, is now a Girl Scout cadette and is excited about the new cookie season. "My goal is to earn enough money to take a trip out of the country," she said in a press release.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-lead business in the country at $700 million. The theme for this year is "What can a cookie do?" and seeks to increase the business skills of the girls involved.
