Houston art gallery seeks artists
Watson Huff Galleries, located at 716 W. Alabama St., is seeking artists to display their works between Jan. 5 and Jan. 28. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and holds art parties every Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Painters, photographers, sculptures, jewelers and other types of artists can rent spaces for their works. Rental space for one to five sculptures is $250. A 4-foot linear by 9-foot ceiling runs for $400; a 6-foot linear by 9-foot ceiling runs for $600; and an 8-foot linear by 9-foot ceiling runs for $800. Artists make 100 percent of their sales and may accept cash or checks. A 5 percent credit card fee is taken out for all transactions involving this method. Artists must bring their pieces to the gallery between Jan. 2 and Jan. 4. Setup and tags are included.
