Lamar valedictorian gives keynote address at Poe 5th-grade graduation
The 2011 Lamar High School valedictorian and Poe Elementary alumna, Kirby Terrell Cornelius, recently gave a keynote address to the fifth-grade graduating class.
??Cornelius, a scholar-athlete who played lacrosse for Lamar and was All-State this year, told the future middle school students to be true to themselves and not be swayed by others.
??Additionally, Cornelius stressed the importance of joining activities that fit their passion but not forgetting the importance of academics.
