The Center holds successful annual luncheon

The Center recently held its 10th annual luncheon and raised over $160,000.
Candace Dickerson, Stef Levy and Christy Rowland chaired the "preppy" luncheon. Guests were decked out in preppy attire such as Lilly Pulitzer dresses, traditional argyle sweaters and pastel-layered Polo golf shirts with the collars popped.
Lisa Birnbach, author of The Official Preppy Handbook and True Prep, was this year’s featured speaker. Her tongue-in-cheek retrospective was about what was considered preppy 30 years ago and how it has evolved into a world where social media dominates daily life.
The Center, a private not-for-profit agency, provides residential, vocational and day services that promote individual choice, personal growth and independence for persons with developmental disabilities.
